Scott has practiced as a certified public accountant since 1991. Scott heads all financial accounting services for the Government Contractor Segment Group, and is a member of the firm executive committee.. In addition, Scott has obtained a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from the George Washington University. As a result, he is a specialist in the following areas of practice:

• Financial statement audits and reviews of government contractors including accounting for various types of contracts with numerous agencies of the federal government


• Accounting system assessment including job costing systems and compliance regulations


• Government contract compliance and consulting, including:
1. Analysis of indirect rate structures and optimization
2. Cost allowability and allocability
3. Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards compliance
4. Internal control efficiency and effectiveness
5. Profit enhancement

Scott also has experience in identification of accounting deficiencies regarding application of technical accounting procedures and reporting disclosure requirements under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Scott has been recognized by Virginia Business Magazine as one of Virginia’s Super CPAs in the categories of both Auditing and Government and by SmartCEO as a Smart CPA.
