Outplacement Services and Career Coaching Outplacement is a formal assistance program that facilitates the transitionof one or more individuals departing your organization to a new employment role. Goodman & Company has served over 400 individual clients and 1000 group transitioners in the last 16 years. Considerable flexibility may be applied to formulate a support program that meets the needs, budget and goals realignment of the organization. The departing employee has the opportunity to work with professionals specializing in stabilizing emotions, building confidence and reducing uncertainties associated with a job search. Outplacement promotes a positive environment for the employees who remain by demonstrating employer concern and preserves confidence and productivity.

Our Human Resource Professionals can assist and participate in the notification and termination process and are available for immediate coaching with the departing employee or employees. Outplacement programs are conducted on an individual basis or as workshops (typically 2-3 days) for groups. Personal coaching and the techniques necessary to research opportunities and re-enter the workforce in an effective manner are provided.

We will:
  • Review and assist with the termination process
  • Participate in termination notification and explain the outplacement process with departing employee(s)
  • Provide Careers in Transition workbook and corresponding workshop instruction
  • Conduct a formal career assessment
  • Develop a strategy for effectively re-entering the job market
  • Discuss options to manage financial outlook
  • Assist in developing skills needed for efficient job searching
  • Develop a professional resume and basic cover letter
  • Identify options for the use of recruiters and placement firms
  • Discuss networking and its potential resources
  • Conduct image enhancement from clothing to personal behaviors
  • Assist in the Preparation for successful interviewing opportunities
  • Video tape a simulated interview and provide feedback for selected job opportunity
  • Discuss evaluating job offers and negotiating the best compensation possible
