Richmond, Virginia — Goodman & Company is pleased to announce that Mandy Sent, CPA was recently recognized as the 2007 Volunteer of the Year for the Old Dominion Chapter of the National Spinal Injury Association. Sent serves as the treasurer of this group and in the words of the group president has "always gone above and beyond anything we could have expected. Sent has volunteered with the organization since September of 2006. "Mandy's commitment to this organization is indicative of her commitment to our community. I am very proud of this well-deserved recognition" said Gary Thomson, Partner-In-Charge of Goodman & Company's Richmond office.
Sent, a Tax Supervisor in Goodman & Company's Richmond office since 2005, has both a Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in Accountancy from Miami University (Ohio). Sent is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to volunteering with the National Spinal Injury Association, Sent is also a Finance Committee member and Board member of the READ Center, a not-for-profit volunteer adult literacy program.
