Newport News, VA - Gregory M. Richardson, SPHR and Senior Partner with Goodman & Company, LLP, will be a featured speaker at the Virginia Retail Banker’s Conference on “Change Leadership,” on Monday, March 15, in Williamsburg.
Richardson serves as director of Goodman & Company’s Human Resources Division and holds numerous academic degrees including a BA in Business Management and a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from California State University; a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Arts degree in Education and Human Resource Development from The George Washington University. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and has more than 30 years of experience overseeing operational functions, training and development programs and human resource challenges.
Richardson routinely conducts professional development seminars for workgroups, especially leadership development and executive coaching for both non-profit and for-profit organizations. He was recently selected to write the lead chapter in the book, Leadership Strategies that Work, by Insight Publishing. He is also a contributing author of the book, Mission Possible.
A retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force, Richardson has received three Air Medals earned in combat, five Meritorious Service medals and the Distinguished Service Medal. Following his military career, he founded Aim Associates, Inc., a training, development and career coaching business in Hampton, before merging his group with Goodman & Company in 1998 and launching the Human Resources Services Division.
Richardson is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) since 1995, and served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Speakers Association. He is an active community volunteer and is a past president of the Rotary Club of the Virginia Peninsula. He has also served on several not-for-profit boards and as a member of the Executive Board for the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula.
