Arthur Auerbach, CPA was recently chosen to speak at the ACPEN Network Satellite Broadcast "Tax Practice in Light of the New Tax Preparer Penalties and Ethical Standards", held Thursday, January 31, 2008. Partnered with the Virginia Society of CPAs, ACPEN's seminar will discuss the Small Business and Work Opportunity Tax Act of 2007 as well as recently issued proposed regulations under Circular 230. The discussion will be led by panel of experts and will be broadcasted live from Tysons CPA Center from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Arthur Auerbach was recently chosen to speak at the AICPA "Individual Income Tax Update 2007" presentation, held December 5, 2007. The update is part of a two day live webcast held by AICPA, in which speakers addressed issues of both individual and federal income taxes. The Individual Income Tax Update discussed recent cases on topics such as investment advisory fees, charitable contributions and AMT, PLRs related to excluding gain on sale of residence and IRAs, proposed regulations on dependency exemptions, the latest on the Alternative Minimum Tax, extensions of popular individual tax provisions, and mortgage debt tax relief.
